$ 10 trillion is a lot of value, but may not mean much to anyone.\u00a0 It’s enough to buy a country, or two.<\/p>\n
We are were we are.\u00a0 The money is gone.<\/p>\n
The question remains about whether or not we are going to make the same mistakes again.\u00a0 It’s not as if this was the first time after all.\u00a0 There is a long history of fraud and incompetence and hubris fuelling moral hazard to distort reality.<\/p>\n
The problem is that it is the same people in charge as got us here.\u00a0 Or at least the same kind of thinking.\u00a0 A primitive, command and control mentality still drives policy and behaviour.\u00a0 We must take responsibility for the consequences of our spending and investment decisions.\u00a0 We understand the situation well enough.\u00a0 We just continue to allow integrity to fail.<\/p>\n
It’s time to change course.<\/p>\n
