They think oil prices will hit <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/2\/hi\/business\/7387203.stm\">$200 a barrel within 6 months<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the links showing that oil is approaching <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wtrg.com\/oil_graphs\/oilprice1947.gif\">an all time high in real terms<\/a>  (<a href=\"http:\/\/inflationdata.com\/inflation\/images\/charts\/Oil\/Gasoline_inflation_chart.htm\">average prices<\/a> are even more worrying).<\/p>\n<p>And you&#8217;ve probably already noticed a change in consumer behaviour.  <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hubberts_peak\">Peak<\/a> oil is well and truly here.<\/p>\n<p>Coincidentally, the World Bank reported that the value of the <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/2\/hi\/business\/7388035.stm\">carbon trading market doubled in 2007<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We noted in April&#8217;s BT notes that energy prices are likely to be the daunting news of May, and now look at the report from Goldman Sachs.
