On 11 December a freight rail link between north and south Korea will open.\u00a0 This will be the first for 50 years.\u00a0 It follows the recent detente between the two countries.\u00a0 It is a good step in the right direction.\u00a0 Either it is a sign of Kim Jong-Il’s softening or a sign of greater desperation and poverty in the north.\u00a0 Let’s hope its the former, for if its the later North Korea’s behaviour will revert to psychotic manipulation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
