Science is joining the enlightened, yogis and holonics in confirming that being happy is healthy.<\/p>\n
A US study shows that being happy and positive has an impact on the risk of heart disease.\u00a0 They also said that it is the ability to be happy that is the challenge.\u00a0 The excuse – that it is difficult to change behaviour.\u00a0 Which is just not true – it is simply an excuse that we use to procrastinate: to put off dieting or to excuse anger.\u00a0 Or we rationalise that we are stuck in a situation that we can not change, a job for example.<\/p>\n
But we all know that the reality is that we make choices about our values and behaviour.\u00a0\u00a0 And we know that being happy is not about being hedonistic.\u00a0 It’s about looking after our basic needs (food and shelter) and then engaging in our communities and then helping in our communities.<\/p>\n
