{"id":113,"date":"2007-09-15T15:19:39","date_gmt":"2007-09-15T15:19:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/astraea.net\/blog\/?p=113"},"modified":"2007-10-10T15:24:56","modified_gmt":"2007-10-10T15:24:56","slug":"new-green-pc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.astraea.net\/blog\/new-green-pc\/","title":{"rendered":"New green PC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> A new green machine from Lenovo is a response to rising energy costs around the world and to growing concern about electronics&#8217; impacts on the environment.\u00a0 The new PC, officially known as the ThinkCentre A61e, is the company&#8217;s first EPEAT Gold-rated product, and surpasses the EPA&#8217;s Energy Star 4.0 criteria for computer systems with its 85% efficient power supply.\u00a0 It is made of 90% reusable and recyclable materials, and its packaging is also 90% recyclable. The 45-watt AMD Athlon processor that powers the computer is so energy-light that Lenovo said it can be powered by a solar panel.
